What is it like to see sound?  This question is at the center of Kyle Luntz’s video installation, Resonance. Both light and sound are immaterial.  At their most basic level, they are waves of energy that we are able to interpret through the physical systems in our bodies.  ‘Resonance’ is a physics term used to describe the variation in the lengths, or frequencies, of these waves.  It is this variation that produces the myriad of sounds and colors we experience.  In Resonance, Luntz uses technology to connect frequencies of sound and light, allowing his audience to see the sounds they make.
